Hair Transplant Photo Guidelines
Hair transplant patient photo galleries are a great way to judge the quality of a hair transplant clinic’s work. There are a few things to look for in a good hair transplant photo gallery.
- Good resolution
Hair transplant photos should be clear and good resolution. Blurry or grainy hair transplant photos obscure the work. - Hair transplant pictures should be taken from many angles
Photos should show all angles of a hair transplant not just the front view or the “best” view that may make work appear better than it. - Hair transplant photos should be taken from medium distance of a few feet and close-up.
Work is obscured if photos are taken from far away. - Hair transplant photos should be taken in natural light with no camera flash.
Camera flash and spot lighting makes results look thicker. The true nature of a hair transplant result looks best under natural lighting conditions (overhead flourescent is fine). When comparing the same photo side by side, one with camera flash, the other without, the hair in the photo taken with camera flash will look thicker. - Photos should not be “touched-up”.
- Photo backgrounds should be simple.
Photos should be taken against a solid colored background not a studio background. Studio backgrounds detract from the result, distracting the viewers attention from the hair transplant.
